Unique to Sanford Estates Gracious Retirement Living is that the managers of the community also live in there too! The live -in managers are sharing the same community experience as the residents are. They are readily available to help 24/7 in case of an emergency.

Care Offered

Independent living at Sanford Estates includes ample apartments ranging from 388 to 1083 square feet. With 130 units, Sanford Estates offers studios, one bedroom and two- bedroom apartments. Residents are very pleased with the spacious and roomy accommodations. Weekly housekeeping and linen services are included in the monthly rate. 

While Sanford Estates Gracious Retirement Living is independent living at its finest, there is a home care service agency available onsite to provide assistance as needed. Charged separately, it allows for a resident to age in place, paying for exactly and only the help needed. Therapies are also available onsite for resident convenience.

Meals are prepared from scratch and fresh every day along with delicious desserts by the executive chef and culinary team.  Served restaurant style in a beautiful, spacious dining room. Residents love how the inviting dining room atmosphere makes them feel special. The chef is very engaged with residents and wants their feedback and will engage in conversation table by table at the end of every meal for their thoughts and input.

Encouraging residents to live a robust, active lifestyle, Sanford Estates Gracious Retirement offers opportunities to learn new skills, have engaging conversations about current events and travel domestically and internationally.  Creativity is a theme throughout the activities calendar with book and garden clubs, cooking demonstrations, arts, crafts, creative writing and more.  Many outings are planned to enjoy concerts, museums and galleries. Sanford Estates Gracious Retirement Living has 45 sister communities in the US and Canada under the parent company Hawthorn.  Available to all residents, is the Resident Travel Program which allows a resident to stay up to seven nights per visit at any of the Hawthorn communities.  Included are meals and participation in any programs or activities.
