Located at 1633 Wesleyan Drive in Macon, GA is The Cottages on Wesleyan. The Cottages on Wesleyan is a gated community surrounded by a wooded setting. With patio homes for independent living and assisted living suite, 66 residents call The Cottages on Wesleyan, home. They can choose between a studio, one-and-two- bedroom options. All housing options are maintenance free. The cottages all have front yards, back patios and sunrooms. Residents love the spaciousness of the cottages with 9’ foot ceilings. The assisted living suites are in the Main Cottage.

Care Offered

The staff at The Cottages on Wesleyan will check in daily for their independent residents. They designed these private homes for residents who can manage on their own.

All assisted living suites have a 24 -hour emergency call system. Help is available for personal care needs and activities of daily living. Medication management is provided and help with making medical appointments and follow up.  The caregivers are also medication technicians. There are private suites and companion suites available in assisted living. Companion suites are a great solution for a couple that want to stay together but their needs are different. 

Staff at The Cottages on Wesleyan are very mindful of serving each resident with dignity and respect. They continue extensive training throughout the year to fine tune caregiving skills.

Independent living at The Cottages on Wesleyan has complete access to the Main Cottage where meals are served and activities happen. Convenient home delivery of meals is a service that is also provided.

The dining experience at The Cottages offers three home-made meals daily. The culinary team makes meals that are well balanced, nutritious and they make desserts fresh every day. They can accommodate special diets. The main meal is lunch, and lighter fare and snacks are available throughout the day.

Next to the dining room is a lovely private dining room residents and families can use for private dining or celebrating.

The Main Cottage at The Cottages on Wesleyan has many places to gather. In a traditional setting, the community spaces are comfortable, cozy and feel like home.  There are multiple fireplaces to add even more warmth to the atmosphere. The library is well stocked to pick out a wonderful book or connect with others at the tables and play some games or cards.

The residents at The Cottages on Wesleyan have many options to keep busy enjoying a leisurely life of doing whatever they want. Many activities are planned throughout the month, with several opportunities daily to socialize and connect. Wii Bowling, chair exercises and walking are available to keep residents moving.  

Residents at The Cottages on Wesleyan love to enjoy music! It is a frequent favorite activity in the community. Musicians coming into the Main Cottage to entertain or the music therapist interacting with residents fill the community with beautiful music. Stepping back in time, The Cottages on Wesleyan have a monthly podcast with music from an era past. Setting the format for the podcast as an old- fashioned radio program where residents can enjoy the Big Band sounds or Frank Sinatra and Patsy Cline. The podcast is filled with memories from residents, news, and much more. 

Pet therapy is a fun day for everyone at The Cottages on Wesleyan. The residents in independent living can have a small pet with an additional deposit. Bible study happens every week and communion is offered once a month. Arts and crafts are available for residents who want to express their creative side.
