Located at 3740 Peachtree Road NE in Atlanta, GA is Canterbury Court. Canterbury Court is the first continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Atlanta. Located in the heart of the Buckhead area, Canterbury Court is a perfect location to be convenient to everything desirable and yet tucked away in a most peaceful and serene setting.

Canterbury Court is a not-for-profit Life Plan Community sponsored by two local churches. All denominations are welcome. Canterbury Court has 188 independent living apartments, 18 apartments for catered living and 44 rooms in skilled nursing.

Apartments offered at Canterbury Court range from studios, one-and-bedroom apartments. They even have three- bedroom apartments which is rare in senior communities. Entrance fees range based on the size of the apartment selected and a portion of the entrance fee may be refundable.

Care Offered

Catered living similar to assisted living is offered at Canterbury Court which provides help with activities of daily living. Special health and wellness programs are offered to residents. Physical, occupational and speech therapies are available onsite.  A physician assessment is used to determine if a resident needs catered living to ensure that proper support is available to help each resident thrive.

Skilled nursing is available for rehabilitation and long -term care. Residents living at Canterbury Court receive preferential placement should needs change and a higher level of care is required.

The campus at Canterbury Court has a wellness center with a health clinic onsite for resident convenience.

There is so much beautiful landscaping to view and enjoy at Canterbury Court. Everywhere you look are gardens, fountains, seating areas, flowers and mature trees. The scenery is breathtaking! Residents who love to garden can partake in gardening by helping to nurture such lovely outdoor spaces for all to appreciate. Individual garden plots are available for residents.

With a variety of outdoor areas, residents and families can choose to sit on the outdoor terraces or patios. The campus has over eight acres that offer walking paths that are paved, a gazebo, greenhouse and protected natural habitats. Canterbury Court is pet friendly!

The indoor pool is a favorite for residents who want to swim laps or join in aquatic exercise at Canterbury Court. The amenities are plentiful, all for residents to live a full life. There is a full woodworking shop, arts and crafts studio, billiards, theater, fitness center and a whirlpool. Canterbury Court has been designed for residents to be able to enjoy doing what they love or to try something new.

Different dining venues are available to residents to experience fine dining or a more casual menu.
