Wellstar Atherton Place

Located at 111 Tower Road NE in Marietta, GA and on the campus of WellStar Kennestone Regional Hospital is WellStar Atherton Place. Serving seniors in independent living, enhanced personal care and memory care, WellStar Atherton Place is home to 180 residents.

WellStar Atherton Place offers studio, one-or two-bedroom apartments. Some have balconies and the floor plans are spacious and interesting.

Care Offered

To provide the best of care at WellStar Atherton Place, each resident has an individualized wellness plan that outlines the details of assistance a resident may need.

There are four levels of care ranging from medication management and reminders and assistance with tasks of daily living. Higher levels of care include incontinence care, repetitive cognition support, complex medication management and escort to meals and activities.

Atherton Place Memory Care provides specialized program for residents who need more cognitive care and support. The studio apartments are specifically designed to cater to residents with memory impairment. Specially trained staff provide all aspects of care for their memory care residents.

Keeping families informed is a priority at WellStar Atherton Place and communication occurs regularly between the staff and families.

On-site occupational, physical and speech therapies are available by WellStar Orthosport.  In addition to therapies, WellStar Orthosport staff will provide balance/ fall assessments.

WellStar Atherton Place is very proud of the longevity of their staff. The average tenure is over ten years.  Another standout feature is the heart to serve that each team member has and it is apparent with the friendly, welcoming, caring atmosphere within the community.

All residents at WellStar Atherton Place receive a membership to WellStar Health Place to enjoy the heated pool for laps and water aerobics. The full-service wellness center offers of many classes for wellness and exercise. There are also treadmills and an indoor walking track.  Personal training and massage therapy are also available. This daytime membership is a nice addition to WellStar Atherton Places’ already active calendar that includes chair aerobics several times a week.

Meals are chef prepared at WellStar Atherton Place. Serving breakfast daily, all plans include either lunch or dinner.

Overnight guest accommodations may be available for visiting family.  Instead of booking a hotel, family can stay in the community to visit their loved ones.

A vibrant social life is the norm at WellStar Atherton Place.  From events, entertainment, parties, lectures and films, everyone has something to look forward to. Families love the holiday celebrations as much as the residents! A favorite of the residents is the Wellness Wednesday’s health seminars.

Residents can engage in cards, games, gardening, arts and crafts. It is very easy to meet people and be as social as you want at WellStar Atherton Place. There is always something to do!

Outings are fun at WellStar Atherton Place! Because the community is near so many attractions, the residents will partake in scheduled outings. These outings could be to the museum or to Red Top Mountain, concerts and an occasional Braves game. There are many destinations that make for great day trips that might include a lunch or dinner stop to round out the day.
