Greenwood Place

Located at 1160 Whitlock Drive in Marietta, GA is Greenwood Place, providing personal care, memory care, short-term stays, respite stays and urgent placement for up to 70 residents.
Residents can choose from studios or one -bedroom apartments. Each apartment has a kitchenette and generous closet space. 

Being on the smaller size of communities gives the staff and residents a chance to really get to know each other. Staff, families and residents will talk about how friendly and welcoming Greenwood Place is.

Care Offered

Care plans are individualized to meet the needs of each resident at Greenwood Place. Nursing is available 24 hours a day for supervision, coordination of care, and clinical oversight.

Personal services at Greenwood Place can include help with bathing, dressing and medication reminders for those that need assisted living.

Each apartment has and an emergency call system. Safety pendants are also available for residents to wear at Greenwood Place.

Memory care staff at Greenwood Place are trained specifically to care for residents with memory impairment. By creating an environment and routine that is familiar provides a comforting home for memory care residents. Caregivers help residents adapt to their changing needs and support residents by understanding their likes and dislikes. Activities are offered to engage residents with an approach that considers their total wellbeing.

The admissions process is quick at Greenwood Place. They can often take an urgent placement. Sometimes circumstances are present where an emergency placement is required as a senior may not be safe at home. Resident placement in the community can happen within a single day.

Standout Features

Outdoors at Greenwood Place has many lovely places to enjoy the day.  Rocking chairs adorn the front porch and the back patio has inviting tables with umbrellas and benches.
Transportation is provided at Greenwood Place for scheduled doctors’ appointments and community outings.  

Depending on availability, Greenwood Place may have guest rooms available. This can be a wonderful feature if a resident has family visiting from out of town.

There is never a shortage of things to do at Greenwood Place. Activities, outings and events happen regularly. There are opportunities to be creative with arts and crafts or to exercise. Cards, games, bible study and entertainment keep residents busy. Greenwood Place is also pet friendly! Outings to try new restaurants or go to old favorites, along with shopping and entertainment, are looked forward to by residents.

With many lounge areas at Greenwood Place, offers the opportunity to socialize and meet new and old friends. One of the lounge areas has a baby grand piano for even more enjoyment.
At Greenwood Place, delicious meals are served in the light-filled and sunny dining room with floor to ceiling windows.
