Located in the Hickory Flat area of Cherokee County at 333 E. Cherokee Drive in Canton, GA. The Retreat at Canton is home to 90 residents in assisted living and memory care. Family owned, The Retreat at Canton brings 30 years of experience to senior living.

Care Offered

The Retreat at Canton believes deeply about caring for their residents as their own family. Time and care are given to learning about each resident’s preferences to help better care for them.  Assisted living provides help with personal care needs and medication management as needed. All care plans are personalized for each resident.

Respite stays are offered for the home caregivers who may need a break and for their loved ones to be well cared for and have the experience of all that community life has to offer.

For additional safety, there is an emergency call system in resident rooms.

All therapies, occupational, physical and speech, are offered on-site daily.

Staff at The Retreat at Canton has been carefully selected based on education, caring for seniors and their passion to serve.

Compassionate care is provided in the Signature Memory Care neighborhood helping residents with changing needs be it physical or emotional. The home is comfortable and adapted to residents with memory loss. Reminiscing and memorabilia are carefully in place to provide a familiar environment for their residents. Dementia affects the whole family and The Retreat at Canton understands that and provides support for them as well. Specially trained staff are committed to helping their residents live a purposeful life.

The Retreat at Canton boasts of open spacious floor plans in the common areas with high ceilings and large floor to ceiling windows to bring in the light. Hallways are wide and the community is all one level for ease of navigating.

Spending time outdoors is easy and relaxing. The Retreat of Canton has a huge covered porch. It is wide and long with a variety of outdoor seating options including rocking chairs.  There are multiple outdoor areas to enjoy a beautiful day and a firepit for chillier evenings. Among the landscaped grounds are walking paths leading around the building and the back of the community is tree lined with beautiful mature trees.

Indoors at The Retreat at Canton offers some unexpected delights.  A giant koi pond and water fountain fills up a community gathering area. It’s a great place to sit and watch the fish and take in the sounds of falling water. The large fireplace is warm and welcoming and residents enjoy having a baby grand piano in the community and listening to music.

Residents at The Retreat at Canton love having the choice of dining inside in the beautiful, gracious dining room or outside on the lovely patio.  Meals are gourmet and chef prepared. There is a bistro to enjoy for lighter fare.

The Retreat at Canton offers a non-denomination church service every Sunday.

The Live, Love, Learn Program provides a wide variety of activities, outings, events and celebrations to engage the six dimensions of wellness that each resident needs for greater wellbeing.  The goal everyday is to help residents have a purposeful day.
