Family owned and operated, Summerset Assisted Living is located at 3711 Benjamin E Mays Drive SW, Atlanta, Georgia. This beautiful, gated community provides senior living and care at a variety of levels. Suites are spacious and furnished, ranging from 260 square feet to 400 square feet, the largest being big enough to accommodate couples. Both resident rooms and common areas are designed to bring in ample natural light. Furthermore, all suites are equipped with state-of-the-art technology featuring an Emergency Alert Call and Voice to Voice Communication System. Medical conditions are carefully monitored, and residents have access to nursing and medical care 24 hours a day.

Levels of care include independent living, assisted living, memory care, respite, and adult day care. All care levels are based on the Summerset “family-style” care method. There are two levels of memory care offered via the Memory Lane program at the Summerset Assisted Living facility. This creates a more personalized care program for residents. Furthermore, all caregivers in memory care undergo specialized training.

Memory care residents at Summerset Assisted Living enjoy all the amenities offered at the center. Their activities, however, are developed by the Sunshine Club to ensure residents with memory impairment experience activities in line with their cognitive abilities. Residents with memory impairment are not separated from others but are simply offered more support when needed. Wander management is an additional service for residents who from time to time need redirection and supervision.

Adult day care is another service offered at Summerset Assisted Living. When caregivers need a break, have errands to run, or have to work, the community offers a safe and secure environment for loved ones. Here, participants benefit from meeting new friends, enjoying new experiences, and participating in activities. Adult day care at Summerset Assisted Living also offers an opportunity for transition to a full-time resident. Hours for this type of care are 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, seven days a week. 

Finally, respite care provides short-term, overnight stay. This is useful during recuperation time following a hospital stay or if in-home caregivers need an overnight break from three to 30 days.
